Stop the Bleed training focuses on simple, proven skills that can make an extraordinary difference during an emergency.
Participants learn how to
Recognize life-threatening bleeding
Quickly assess an injured person
Apply effective direct pressure
Properly pack a wound
Correctly apply a tourniquet
Identify when different bleeding-control techniques should be used
Take effective action while waiting for EMS to arrive
Training includes hands-on practice so participants do more than simply hear about these techniques, they actually perform them. Every participant will receive a certificate of training issued in partnership with the Department of Defense.
